Show rules
1. DOCUMENTS TO BRING TO THE SHOW
a) your passport or an ID
b) The passport of your dog
c) The inscription sheet
d) The show ticket payment receipt
e) A copy of your dog's pedigree
f) A vet certificate in case your dog has been docked for medical reasons or if he has extracted tooth
2. SECURITY
a) As a show organizing Club, we have a liability insurance that covers damages caused by us up to 2 mio. Insurance contract by "ALLIANZ".
b) For your part, as a dog owner, you must also have a liability insurance (it's usually included in your household insurance) that covers any possible damage caused by your dog or yourself. This rule is also valid for visitor dogs.
c) Children should never be left unattended by an adult and as a parent it is your job to educate your child and warn them never to touch a dog you do not know.
d) The same rules matter to adults, never touch a dog you do not know without the owner's permission.
e) Always keep enough distance with other dogs and always be careful to avoid any brawls.
f) Carry a "breaking stick" with you, this will allow you to quickly separate dogs if they fight and thus avoid injuries if despite all precautions this should happen. A simple wooden spatula will do the the job. Do not shout and especially do not beat them, it will only make the situation worse. Stay calm & act fast.
3. LAWS
a) In some countries of Europe, it is forbidden to show cropped or/and docked dogs. Contact your local veterinary authorities for actual information before buying a show ticket.
b) In some countries as France, a sanitary veterinarian control will be carried out before the show, at the entry of the show area. The chip number will be scanned and vaccines update controlled. No ear cropped dogs are allowed for shows in France and some other EU countries also forbid to show docked dogs.
c) The use of choker and prong collars is strictly forbidden.
d) It is prohibited to sell puppies or dogs on the show area.
e) The vaccines must be up to date, check the exact conditions for vaccines validity for a show with your local veterinary authorities several weeks before the date of the show in case vaccine boosters are needed. Making a kennel cough vaccine before the show is always a good option. The vaccines up to date is also requested for visitor dogs.
4. DOG'S WELFARE
a) Never leave your dog unattended or outside locked in a car in a hot weather.
b) For the well-being of your dog, always think about bringing 2-3 small bottles of water for him. You can also bring treats to focus his attention during the show.
b) Do not overfeed your dog the morning of the show to avoid vomiting due to some stress during the journey or on the show.
c) Do not bring a dog to a show that is not educated enough or that has shown obvious signs of severe stress at a previous show.
5. USE OF SHOW PICTURES ON FB OR ON OUR WEBSITE
The photos taken by our photographers at our shows are our property and by participating in our shows, you agree that they are broadcast on FB and that they are used to illustrate our website.
6. RESPECT
The dog owner is a responsible Gentleman or Lady and he/she is asked to respect the cleanliness of the show area, always have some dog waste bags with you to clean up if necessary. The participant is also asked to pick up any trash left by him.
7. FAIR-PLAY
Our judges are always fair-play, but if you still disagree with him or with comments from other participants, do not overreact. Win with Grace! Lose with Dignity!
8. NOT ADMITED ON THE CONFORMATION RING
a) Neutered / spayed dogs are not admitted in the ring. (Exception made for neutered/spayed dogs for the junior handler who can show such a dog, since the note is given to the handler, not to the dog).
b) Dogs who already have a Champion title are not allowed in the conformation ring, they can at the end of the show compete against the best of breed (BOB) or another Champion or Grand Champion.
9. NOT ADMITTED ON THE SHOW
a) Females in heat are not allowed on the place of the show or close surroundings.
b) Dogs that have been disqualified for aggressiveness during one of our previous shows are not allowed to participate again, except if they have taken education courses and the behavioral problems have been corrected. In this case, a certificate from an official dog trainer must be presented to us. You can join this certificate in the "Buy a Show Ticket" form sub-menu on the SHOW page.
c) Any participant who intentionally disturbs the show will immediately be expelled by security, the ticket not being reimbursed.
